12lb out of the weights at Sandown in April (3m4f, good) and duly found that too tough a test; this won't be as demanding and the time before he won over 3m at Sandown (good; narrowly) off just 2lb lower; lightly raced still and fitness shouldn't be an issue.

Got no further than the first in the recent Kerry National at Listowel; has won five times over fences and was mostly consistent for Emma Lavelle earlier this year; wouldn't be that well handicapped but entitled to have a say.

Confined to hurdling by current trainer and won a big-field handicap at Aintree's Grand National meeting in April (3m, good; 6lb lower); had form figures of 1FF over fences in France so jumping has to be a nagging concern on this return to chasing.

Got himself back on track with wins at Worcester (2m7f) and Market Rasen (2m5f) and bumped into one at top of his game at Bangor (3m, good); raised another 2lb but looks sure to give his running and be competitive.

Beat the subsequent Cheltenham/Fairyhouse hero Haiti Couleurs on his chase debut at this fixture 12 months ago when 5lb lower; mostly ran well afterwards but signed off in May with a rather laboured effort at Uttoxeter; chance if back to his best.
