Coral Rockingham Stakes (Listed Race)

Left his debut (6f, good to firm) behind to win at Newbury (6f, good to soft) last month; takes a steep rise in grade but this well-bred colt was dominant last time and could have more left in the tank; interesting.

Well beaten in Listed race at Ayr three weeks ago but that was his first encounter with soft ground; displayed improved form previously, finishing second of 21 over C&D (good to firm) in a sales race that has worked out well before easy win in Hamilton maiden (5f, good to soft); chance.

Won on debut at Salisbury (5f, good to firm) in May then kept on for fifth of 15 in the Norfolk at Royal Ascot (5f, good to firm); no impact in 6f Group 2s on next two starts but drops back in grade today and is not discounted for a trainer who won this in 2023.

Won Thirsk novice (6f, good) in July and returned to winning ways at Hamilton (5f, soft) last month on his second nursery start; further improvement is possible but very much necessary in this much hotter race.

Won at Haydock (6f, good) last month on second run and again had something to spare in Yarmouth novice (6f, good to soft) next time; today is a much tougher test of his credentials but this 800,000gns brother to C&D Group 2 winner Celandine may well be up to the task; yard won this in 2021 and 2022.
