Modern Games British EBF Boadicea Stakes (Listed Race) (Fillies & Mares)

Could do no wrong in handicaps as a 3yo, winning all five at 6f and 7f (good to firm and good to soft); had some excuses when only fifth in this last year (soft; favourite) and was entitled to need the run on her belated Ayr comeback last month for a new yard, albeit under the pump from some way out; could well be a lot sharper back on good ground.

Consistent and genuine filly who has done better the more she's raced, adding to three 6f handicap wins (good and good to firm; one over C&D) with a feisty show in fourth on unfavourable terms in a Group 3 at Doncaster (7f, soft) last month; can have a big say back at 6f.

Healthy progress over 7f and 6f culminated in a useful win at Goodwood (good) in July when coming right across from the unfavoured side of the track; however, her finishing effort was perfunctory when tending to hang in a Listed race on the July course here (6f, good to firm) since and she needs a recent break to have been helpful.

Has won and gone close in Group 3s (5f) on this track; seems to have lost some firepower this year but she wasn't far away in a 6f Listed race here in May nor was she disgraced in the Group 1 Flying Five in Ireland recently; might have a better chance than these terms suggest, at least for a place.

Latest three wins were over C&D (good to firm and good) and although her most recent efforts haven't been up to much (in cheekpieces the last twice, now discarded) she was thereabouts in two strong 6f handicaps here in the spring; might be all the better for a recent break and not dismissed.
