Largely consistent gelding who rebounded quickly from a poor run with close second in first-time visor at Wolverhampton (7f) ten days ago; back in action before a 3lb rise takes effect and won his only previous race at Newcastle (albeit over 1m); obvious contender.

Not seen to best effect on soft ground last time and now 0-10 but her close third at Thirsk (7f, good) two starts ago was a good effort and this return to Tapeta won't be a problem; contender if first-time blinkers have any positive effect.

Eight-race maiden who managed only fifth of nine when back in a handicap at Newmarket (6f, good) 12 days ago; drops from Class 4 today but this a competitive Class 5; sports refitted tongue-tie and first-time blinkers for return to 7f; others have more pressing claims.

Placed in three handicaps since winning 7f Wolverhampton maiden in June, most recently when clear second over C&D a week ago; 3lb ahead of the handicapper tonight and has strong claims if in similar form again.

Scored over 6f here on seasonal debut in April but has not been in the same form again since; strong in the betting on last four appearances (favourite three times) but was particularly disappointing when last of nine over C&D a week ago and has a lot more to prove than some of these.
