Jodie Standing's Point-To-Point Recruits Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race)

Half-brother to three hurdles scorers, including the same owners' useful Batman Girac; strength of May's point win at Stowlin (3m, good to yielding) remains untested, but he showed a taking late turn of foot around that sharp, flat track; this looks a great opening opportunity over hurdles.

Hadn't been seeing out 3m too well in British points earlier in 2025, but outpaced on both hurdling starts in the summer (beaten 17l over C&D latest) and staying handicaps appeal as the way to go now.

Multiple 1m4f-2m winner on the Flat, albeit all in the handicap company which will likely also serve him better over hurdles judged on two underwhelming maiden efforts thus far; would appeal more granted cut.

Not the equal of Cinnodin on the Flat at their respective bests, though similarly most effective at middle to staying distances and twice on the mark this year (2m); can leave a poor hurdling debut last winter behind if jumping better, and is a half-brother to one C&D hurdles scorer.

Has struggled to see out his bumper and maiden point starts strongly so far, failing to enhance the Rowleys' good record in the Aintree point bumper latest; tongue-tie looks the right way to go, and ought not fail for stamina over this trip under rules if all's right with him.
