The going is Good.
Progressive 4yo who has added three wins at 6f and about 5f (good and good to firm) in 2025, most recently in a valuable Doncaster race in August; however, he ran his worst race of the year since his return when nearer last than first in the Portland recently so some face-saving is in order.
Made all for impressive winning 7f debut at Newmarket (good) as 2yo; free-going tendencies held him back in better races after and he's been hooded this year, never nearer when beaten under 2l at Chester in July and found only a smart stablemate ahead of him on his side in the Ayr Silver Cup (also 6f; soft) recently; still lightly raced and may well do better.
Losing run goes back to 2023 and his form in sprint handicaps since has been mixed but he has a weights turnaround with Brosay on their Windsor run in August (6f, good to firm) the last time he ran over 6f; not ruled out.
On the premises in a Group 3 over C&D last October but he hasn't won a handicap for two years and it's hard to call him well treated on this year's form, even allowing for some thankless tasks; due further 2lb drop.
Sterling sprinter in 2025 who was a rock-solid marker over 6f on the AW and turf before the handicapper caught up; has a less demanding task than in his last two 6f runs on turf, when beaten around 3l in the Wokingham at the Royal meeting (good to firm) and in the Ayr Gold Cup (soft; first home in his group), so he probably still has cards to play.
