Missed 2024; surged back to near his best when winning at Pontefract (1m4f, good to soft) two weeks ago, coming from the rear in tidy style despite starting the big outsider of five; back up 5lb but this trip (after one attempt in 2022, two this season) is the chief worry.

6-18 on turf, with the wins including her latest attempt at this trip (by 8l over C&D in June) and over 2m at York on two of her last three outings; latest was by a nose and she's now 2lb higher, which still looks a competitive mark and she needs plenty of respect.

His first six wins were at 1m6f, including at Newmarket this August, and he travelled much the best at Ripon (2m) five days ago before scraping home in front; 5lb penalty is a stumbling block but he's never been better and returning to 1m6f is clearly no disincentive; two of his wins last year were also separated by only five days; big shout.

Ex-German; 1-10 for this yard, the win at Haydock (1m6f) in August; well held when 25-1 in a 1m4f Racing League race on his only subsequent start, which is forgivable but one or two of these look better handicapped.

Highly reliable in handicaps; 1m6f did the trick at Haydock early last month and he easily followed up when unpenalised at Chester (also 1m6f on good) week later; close third off third 8lb higher mark under Jack Nicholls back at Haydock six days ago; bang there if the form can be maintained.
