Cartmel Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle (Div II)

Went off fast and didn't last home in a higher grade at Uttoxeter last month but he's run a couple of good races since making all at Ffos Las (2m, good) in May and he should be very competitive at this level.

Added three more hurdle wins in 2024, the first over C&D (soft; later two on good), but this year has been a mixed bag and he was pulled up back on this track in July; has something to prove after that.

Quite lightly raced for his age and has had his ups and downs but he was seen to good effect when making all at Stratford (2m2f, good) in July on final start for Dan Skelton; back up 9lb and hard to predict how he'll respond to the change of scenery.

Often leads; chase winner (soft) on this track last August; has been struggling to recapture his best this year, though, and although he has run two fair races here of late, he did fade quite badly back hurdling over C&D last time out; reservations for now.

Three hurdle wins include one over C&D (good); was off for the best part of two years but his second run back, when a staying-on third over C&D in July, was a lot better than his first; still without regular cheekpieces but seems likely to come on again and exploit a good mark before long.
