Dartmoor Magazine Handicap Hurdle

Not the force of old but arrested his decline with two good seconds in blinkers at Cartmel (2m1f, soft/good) this summer; major player if the headgear continues to aid.

Placed three consecutive times in June/July, most notably when third in quite valuable female jockeys' race at Cartmel (2m1f, good), and did not run badly when seventh in another competitive Cartmel race last time; leading contender.

Started off for Jennie Candlish with two wins in June (2m/2m6f); had to settle for third when odds-on at Hexham (2m, good; last-flight error not helpful) last month but should cope if the ground remains soft here and remains very much of interest.

Joined Dan Skelton after 10l Irish point win in December; began rules career with three low-key hurdle runs (2m-2m3f) at start of this year and makes handicap debut after 205-day absence but still has potential.

Caused 66-1 shock in Worcester (2m, good to soft) in June but was well beaten before last-flight fall there on handicap debut in July and lost all chance when virtually refusing to race on the Flat last week; too risky.
