The going is Good.
Sole win in seven runs was a Chester maiden; good third in the 1m6f Melrose at York (good to firm) on penultimate start, having led over 2f out; failed to back that up at Ascot two weeks later, when soft ground rather than the 1m4f could have been the issue; one to consider.
Rather a free-going sort but he was hooded in 14-runner race at Doncaster (upped to 1m4f, good to soft; favourite) on latest start and knuckled down well to win by a head, coming from mid-division to win his first handicap at third attempt; 3-5 overall and could be open to further progress.
Much better when blinkers were enlisted over Sandown's 1m2f on last three starts, with clearcut wins on good ground on first two occasions (made virtually all second time) and a creditable third on latest; 1m4f (tried twice before the blinkers) now looks worth another go.
Hooded over 1m2f on all five starts; progressive, favourite when winning a Haydock maiden (good) in August and close third of ten, having taken a strong hold, on handicap debut at Doncaster (good to soft) four weeks ago; dam was best at about 1m4f and latest finish suggests it is well worth a try.
Gelded in May and firmly back on track with waiting tactics at Redcar (second) and Sandown (last-gasp win) on next two outings, both 1m2f on good to firm; raced more prominently when soundly beaten at Glorious Goodwood (1m3f) on latest outing; needs to resume improvement over new trip.
