Fitzdares Handicap (GBBPlus Race)

Looked to be going places when winning a Glorious Goodwood handicap (1m2f, good to firm) last year but he missed the rest of that season; nothing to shout about in four starts this term but a change of scenery (has left William Haggas) may do some good and it's interesting his owners are sticking with him; reduced mark, wind surgery and first-time hood are other reasons why a revival could be on the cards.

Multiple winner on French soil; ran to market expectations (rank outsider of seven) in June on British debut but it was a different story, having attracted support, when second of eight at Sandown (1m2f, good) the following month; winner went in again next time; respected.

Admirable handicapper who is also prone to the odd off day and showed both sides of his coin in two 14-runner C&D handicaps this year, winning in April but only ninth in May; solid third of eight at Sandown when last seen in June; has gone well after a break.

Couple of AW wins this spring but didn't transfer that form to turf in two runs shortly after; has been off since May; needs a market check.

8-1 and came from the rear when beating eight others in a Nottingham novice (8.5f, good to soft) on debut in July; flipped that round when making most to defy a penalty in Southwell novice (1m, AW; 5-4) last month; goes up in trip for this handicap debut off a fair opening mark.
