Four-time C&D winner (arguably unlucky not to make it five latest) who's enjoyed a good season; up to a career-high mark now, though, and today's surface will work more in the favour of others (withdrawn several times on account of soft/heavy ground).

Pulled away his chances at Windsor in July but didn't look to have any excuses in a first-time hood (retained) behind Alligator Alley last time; can hang left and is some way down the pecking order.

Made it 2-3 over C&D, on his second run back from a second round of wind surgery, when going in from the same stall off 4lb lower 18 days ago; evidently well suited by fast ground and now has to prove he's as good in these conditions into a better race.

Won this in 2022 (soft) and last year (good to firm) for a yard (saddles Tiriac too) that also had the winner in 2020; bit higher in the weights this time but ran well enough in Listed company here last time to think she has a chance of making it 4-8 over C&D.

Arrives in fine form, having just been edged out of it on Tapeta four weeks ago under Warren Fentiman, but also off a career-high mark; may be the one to lead up the far rail from stall 2 if that's been the trend to this point.
