Returned from six-month break with two very disappointing runs on good ground this summer (6f/7f) and was recently withdrawn from a C&D contest with heavy ground deemed unsuitable; others have much less to prove.

Doubled his win tally at Chepstow (5f, soft) 12 days ago, where he was always doing enough to repel the running-on Marcus; 5lb higher today but also has form on heavy ground and over C&D; must be considered.

Just held on to open account in three-way photo-finish at Ffos Las (5f, good) in July, and both subsequent runs over that C&D (good/soft) were perfectly respectable; contender if first-time cheekpieces have any positive effect here.

Still a maiden after 26 starts but has knocked on the door this season; ran on well for clear second behind Call Time at Chepstow (5f, soft) 12 days ago and, on that evidence, this stiffer track may suit him better.

17-race maiden; not beaten far when third of five at Chepstow (5f, good) last month but that form is very tricky to evaluate (36-rated winner beat 1-12 favourite), and he's untested on ground slower than good to soft.
