Starspangledbanner half-brother to winners Seagolazo (7f 2yo; RPR 97) and Zephina (6f AW 2yo; 76); unraced dam is out of half-sister to 6f 2yo Group 2 winner Mehmas; strapping colt made a fine impression on Killarney debut conceding weight all-round, quickening well off a steady pace in 1m auction event; drop in trip no problem and could well hold his own in this better company.

Another son of Starspangledbanner; promising Naas debut (first in unfavoured far side group) and again came out best of group when racing nearside here early in the month in chasing home an impressive winner over 6f; probably capable of better but big step up in grade here.

Wootton Bassett colt cost 400,000euros as a yearling; narrowly denied in decent Newmarket maiden (winner finished third in Group 3 Acomb Stakes during the week) on last month's debut before landing long odds later in month over this trip at Galway, making all; type to keep improving and Ballydoyle's sole runner sets the standard here.

Lope De Vega colt is third foal of a twice-raced French 7.5f AW 2yo winner (RPR 78), a sister to US 1m Grade 2 winner Filimbi; defied market weakness to make winning debut over C&D early this month, responding well to pressure and asserting late on under considerate enough handling to win going away; could well come on plenty for that and respected.

Kingman colt, 100,000euros foal, 220,000 yearling, half-brother to 6f/7f AW 2yo winner Port Augusta (RPR 94); dam 7f AW/8.4f turf Listed winner (104), from family of top-class 1m4f horse Shirocco; easy enough in the market on C&D debut last month, handy throughout, only fading late when fourth behind a trio of Ballydoyle colts (second has since won a Goodwood maiden, third has won a Galway maiden); more needed.
