Hadwins Handicap Hurdle

Made all to score by 7l here (2m1f, good) last month and ran big race in defeat under 7lb penalty here (2m6f, soft) two days later; effectively another 3lb higher today but could take some catching if stamina holds out over the new trip.

Won here (2m6f, good) and at Plumpton (3m1f, good to soft) last year; failed to build upon satisfactory reappearance run when well-held third here (2m6f, soft) last month but ought to be seen to better effect on the forecast faster ground today; one to consider.

Regressive 9yo who ought to have been favoured by the soft ground when never-dangerous fourth (about 19l behind Dusky Days) here (2m6f) last month; on a very good mark now but needs to stage a revival.

Scored off much reduced mark when back over hurdles at Southwell (3m, good) in June but all three subsequent runs were disappointing and he now has questions to answer again; new headgear tried.

Good second at Wetherby (3m, soft) in January but generally disappointing since, albeit his two 2m5f chase runs here this summer were respectable; needs to up his game on this return to hurdling and would appeal more on ground slower than good.
