Returned from one-year absence with low-key stable debut over hurdles here last month but this dual chase winner reverts to fences on a workable mark and with trip/ground suitable; contender if recent outing brought him on.

Ended last season with two hard-fought wins at Sedgefield (3m2f, good) and arguably ran better than bare form suggests when well-held fourth at Bangor (3m, good) in June but current mark demands a career-best performance and today's drop back in trip may not be ideal.

Came good for new stable at fourth attempt, with huge-margin win at Newton Abbot (2m5f, good) last month; managed only third off same mark over hurdles a week later and a 14lb hike has now taken effect but he still needs to be taken very seriously.

No longer the force of old and very inconsistent nowadays but battled well for narrow C&D (soft) win over Judicial Review last month, his fifth course success; also suited by good ground and recent 4lb rise is manageable if he's in the right mood again.

Badly out of form over fences and hurdles for Gary and Josh Moore last season but significant positives can be drawn from last month's stable debut at Perth (3m, good; first-time visor), albeit he was beaten about 40l in the end; had wind op soon afterwards and a sports refitted tongue-tie/cheekpieces here; well worth a second look.
