C&D winner who was second over hurdles at Hexham in June and won four-runner chase there (1m7f, good) later that month; however, he hasn't been at the top of his game the last twice and needs something extra.

9yo whose losing sequence goes all the way back to September 2022 but he returned to form when second over C&D (soft) last month and is also fine on good ground; a tongue-tie is added; possible player.

Won at Sedgefield (2m3f, good) in April and at Southwell (2m, good) in June, and he's run well in defeat the last twice (including here); there's every chance he'll be thereabouts.

Beaten on his last 12 starts but has run well in defeat on all three starts this season (2m5f/2m4f), most recently here (good); he should be fine now back down in trip and he can be bang there once more.

Won twice over C&D last summer (soft/heavy) and not beaten far when fourth of six over C&D (good to soft) this May following an absence; well beaten here (2m5f, good) last month and has something to prove on the forecast good ground, but he's not ruled out now back down in trip.
