Racing TV Club Day Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race)

0-11 over hurdles but did little wrong before succumbing to an improver at Worcester (2m7f, good) last month and has now finished second three consecutive times; leading contender on today's terms.

Came good over hurdles at eighth attempt, comfortably winning Southwell maiden by 13l in June, and was placed in 14-runner Uttoxeter handicap (also 2m4f, good) later that month; tries a new trip here; ought to be on the premises again.

Useful on the Flat in his prime but has modest 2-41 strike-rate under all codes, and last month's small-field hurdle win came in an uncompetitive race (main market rival disappointed); will find this easier than his latest assignment, though, and has the ability to feature.

Dual Flat winner who scored on hurdling debut at Huntingdon (2m4f, good) in May and came second on both subsequent hurdling starts (2m5f/2m; form well advertised by the two winners since); not at best when back on the Flat last month but a major player.

Out of a half-sister to high-class Irish jumper Sharjah; made quite promising debut when third of five in good-ground Market Rasen bumper in June but suffered a heavy defeat last month (stopped quickly) and is probably best watched on this hurdling debut; hooded for first time.
