BetMGM Sun Chariot Stakes (Group 1) (Fillies & Mares)

Has an excellent strike-rate on ground softer than good so appreciable rain would offer some hope for her outrunning lengthy odds; however, has been well held the last twice in races won by Spiritual and Fallen Angel.

Made her name as a handicapper but popped up at 22-1 in a Group 3 at Ascot (1m, good) in July and was unlucky not to finish closer in America last time (1m Grade 3m, firm); however, whether she's up to this class is debatable, and rain could scupper things anyway (unraced on anything easier than good).

Not at her best when a beaten favourite in a French 1m2f Group 1 last month but she's top class on her day and has a good record at Newmarket, even before winning the Group 2 Dahlia Stakes in May (1m1f) and adding the Group 1 Falmouth (1m) on the neighbouring July course; the glaring concern is the prospect of softening ground when she's been confined to good or quicker thus far.

Last year's Irish 1,000 Guineas winner; last three races in cheekpieces; didn't look in love with the fast ground when just behind Cinderella's Dream at Royal Ascot but has since been typically tenacious in winning Group 1s at Deauville (good) and Leopardstown (good to yielding); looks as good as ever and she's uncomplicated filly who will race close to the lead; hard to knock.

Lengthy absences are a feature in this lightly raced filly's profile but she's 5-5 and did well to overcome a break of 255 days to beat Blue Bolt in Sandown's Group 3 Atalanta Stakes, especially as she was conceding 6lb to the runner-up and dropped in from the widest stall; fully entitled to raise her game again on this first crack at a Group 1 and hard to know how good she might be.
