Weatherbys Global Stallions App Winter Hill Stakes (Group 3)

Record of 5-13 and his last two wins were in Group 3 at Southwell (1m3f) last January and a Listed event at Kempton (1m2f) this spring; ran into some trouble when creditable sixth of 16 in Listed Wolferton Stakes at Royal Ascot (1m2f, good to firm) and he was only narrowly denied back in a Group 3 at Haydock two weeks ago; was as good as ever with that bold bid and he's the standout contender in this line-up.

Formerly trained in France/Qatar; mixed results in three runs in Britain this season but he dominated a C&D handicap (good to firm) in May and was a respectable fifth of 18 at Glorious Goodwood last time; hasn't been far off his best in those two runs but this is much tougher in this Group 3 and he's bottom of the pack on the figures.

Impressive 1m2f AW win on second 2yo run; disappointing in two of his three runs this season but he had excuse over 1m6f in Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot and that was after a rallying fourth in the Group 2 Dante at York (1m2f, good to firm); looks interesting on that form and he could resume his progress back at this trip; gelded since his last run.

Ended last season with a novice win at Brighton (1m, soft) and he started this one with an emphatic win on handicap debut at Nottingham (1m2f, good); respectable efforts when highly tried in Group 3/Listed events in his last three runs but he's not made a major impact and needs to find more improvement.

Ran well in the Solario and Royal Lodge last term but he's not been at his very best this season and was well-held fifth in Listed race at Newmarket (1m, good to firm) last month; now 0-7 since his debut win last summer and he still has something to prove at this trip; others preferred.
