Scored over C&D (soft) when back on turf in June and followed up at Leicester (6f, good) last month, again finishing well from a long way off the pace; not sure to be ideally suited by the faster ground here but still respected in current mood.

Very useful in his prime but signed off for Richard Hannon with some very underwhelming AW runs in February/March; changed hands for 4,500gns in May and was gelded soon afterwards; sports first-time visor on stable debut; market helpful.

Finished well to prevail in three-way photo-finish over C&D (good) in May but has not been in the same form again since, most recently when fifth of seven here on Thursday; others appeal more.

Largely consistent since returning from break with 6f AW win in April, and lost out only by two necks when third in slightly better race than this at Newbury (6f, good to firm) last month; below that form when favourite over C&D soon afterwards but still features prominently in calculations.

Ran fairly well on stable debut in November (6f, AW) but two lesser efforts followed and he has a lot to prove on this first start for 225 days; cheekpieces (worn for last two races) removed.
