Won first two starts for Roger Varian in 2023 (6f, AW); changed hands for 38,000gns last October; pulled hard on stable debut in April but left that behind when coming from off a strong pace to win at Southwell (AW) in May and he backed that up when second at this track (also 5f, good) three weeks later; that was his turf debut and he commands respect back at 6f.

Won a three-runner Redcar maiden (soft) at odds of 1-10 last year but signed off with a moderate effort, beating one home at Wolverhampton (also 6f, AW) in December; unraced as 2yo so there might be more to come this year but the handicapper hasn't budged.

Went through a complete transformation once switched to AW last year, winning six times between 5f and 7f, climbing 32lb in the weights; handicapper hasn't split his official rating so carries that mark back to turf for this first start in 471 days.

Running well in the visor since returned to turf, following a close second with a win at Thirsk and it was a big personal best when first of 12 under a penalty at Chester (also 6f, good) last time; just 2lb higher and the hat-trick can't be ruled out.
