Starspangledbanner half-brother to classy 2yo sprinter Vandeek; beat a smart filly on Navan debut in May before impressive 3l winner of Group 2 Coventry Stakes at Ascot on quick ground; back from a break for Group 1 Prix Morny (Deauville) last month, getting outpaced at crucial stage before rallying strongly late on when beaten a short-neck; steps up to 7f here on easier ground than he has raced on.

Wootton Bassett colt won on debut in Leopardstown maiden over this trip and creditable second on both starts since, beaten 1.25l by Saba Desert in Group 2 Superlative Stakes (Newmarket) and clear of remainder when 1.5l off Gewan in Group 3 Acomb Stakes at York, quite keen under restraint; easier ground here and has to improve to play a major role.

Starman colt a 180,000gns yearling; ran away with ordinary Down Royal maiden and again when showing considerably better form in 4-runner Group 3 Tyros Stakes at Leopardstown in July, making all to beat an odds-on shot 6l (7f, good-to-yielding); possibly flattered by latest but certainly going the right way and proven over the trip; yard has a good recent record in this race.

Dubawi colt, grandson of Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Gossamer; landed odds on debut in Sandown maiden over this trip in June and followed up in Group 2 Superlative Stakes at Newmarket, avoiding interference on near side then hanging left once hitting the front (beating Italy 1.25l); still a work in progress with likely more to offer and following the same path as yard's 2021 winner Native Trail.
