Opened account in run-of-the-mill Newton Abbot maiden (2m2f, good) a fortnight ago, his fourth hurdling start, and kept on strongly to prevail by a nose in C&D (good) novice hurdle on Friday; evidently in very good nick but faces much tougher task under penalty in this handicap.

Took form to whole new level when winning valuable series final by 8l at Kelso (2m, good to soft) in March and is now 3-6 over hurdles; returns from 127-day break on 10lb higher mark but good ground also suits; shortlisted.

Gained two of his seven hurdling wins over this C&D; drops in grade after very respectable sixth in last weekend's competitive Summer Hurdle at Market Rasen (2m, good) and can make his presence felt; swaps visor for refitted blinkers.

Has worked his way back to form since returning from a break in April and ran well from the front when close third in refitted cheekpieces at Worcester (2m, good) last month; high on the list.

Made all twice on good ground in May (2m2f/2m) and posted another good effort when second to Tara Iti over C&D (good) last month; might still be improving; respected.
