Useful turf form for Roger Varian featured a Listed success over 7f and creditable effort in 1m Group 3, both last term; interesting returned to this sphere with AW reappearance under his belt.

Has plenty of Listed/Group form, including two placed efforts this spring, but failed to give his running last time and losing run is mounting up; refitting of headgear needs to give him a boost.

Seems to need good/softer; took his record to 4-5 with useful handicap win last July; 0-6 since but ran well in Sandown Group 2 in most recent 1m attempt; the drop back to this trip is a plus.

Has winning form in Britain, France and UAE; has a touch of thirditis this year but went close in Chantilly Group 3 over 1m most recently, running close to his best; again likely to be thereabouts.

Good second in Ascot Group 2 last time, collared only late having raced in clear lead for long way; made all for emphatic success in this race 12 months ago (good to firm) and commands respect back here.
