Went close on consecutive 7f AW starts in March/April but has suffered a very worrying dip in form since; will appreciate this ease in grade but it still takes a leap of faith to support him.

Made all in first-time cheekpieces on turf return at Lingfield (7.6f, good) in May and probably bettered that performance when close second at Newbury (7f, good to firm) last month; useful 3lb claimer Connor Planas is recruited here; must be considered in current form.

Unexposed 3yo who came second to a useful rival in valuable 7f Lingfield (AW) novice in January; safely held last month (1m), after a break, but should have some improvement to come in handicaps; shortlisted.

Now 5lb lower than when placed in 7f Newmarket nursery for Ralph Beckett in the autumn but that was on soft ground and he is yet to strike form after two runs for new stable this year; eased in grade here; still needs to up his game.

Ended five-race 2yo campaign with cosy nursery win at Lingfield (7f, AW) in December but did not get competitive on her two appearances this spring (7f/1m) and arrives here with a lot to prove.
