Coral Distaff (Listed Race) (Fillies)

Improved across each of her first four starts and was a close Listed second at York (1m, good to firm) in May; disappointing in Group 3 at Epsom (8.5f, good) last month but was perhaps unsuited by the track; one of two for trainer who won this in 2015 and 2021; could bounce back with big run.

Runner-up in Group 2 Rockfel at Newmarket (7f, soft) on final 2yo start; however, she's been below that level on good to firm going on her two runs this season; probably best watched until back on slow ground.

Made all by 4l at Windsor (1m, good to firm) in May on second start and readily followed up in Newbury novice (1m, good); up in grade today but she's been impressive and is a half-sister to two Listed winners, with her dam a Group 3 winner; trainer (runs two) won this in 2015 and 2021; entered in the Group 1 Matron Stakes at Leopardstown in September and she's a key player.

Won at Newcastle (1m, AW) in May on second start and runner-up the next twice, most recently on handicap debut in the Sandringham at Royal Ascot (1m, good to firm); further improvement is necessary today but her dam was a Group 1 winner and there can be optimism she will continue to progress for a top stable that has won two of the last three runnings; one to consider.

Good fourth in Group 2 May Hill Stakes at Doncaster (1m, good) last September and that form has worked out extremely well; had possible excuses on both runs since, specifically heavy ground in France then the lack of a recent run in the Musidora, but she needs to get back on track.
