Savills Novices' Limited Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

2-6 over hurdles; returned from a break with creditable fourth of 14 in competitive Cheltenham handicap (2m4f, good) in April; will be a tough nut to crack in this lower grade if he takes to fences at the first attempt.

Back in fine form since fitted with a tongue-tie this spring, finishing second over hurdles before easily beating two rivals on chasing debut at Ffos Las (2m3f, good); recent 3lb rise might have been a lot worse, and he remains unexposed over fences.

Ran fairly well when second over hurdles at Fontwell (2m5f, good) last month, albeit no threat to winner and subsequently disqualified after rider weighed in light; reverts to chasing on a workable mark but seemingly not in peak form this year.

Won four-runner Perth hunter chase (3m, good) by 12l when back under rules last month and was fair fourth in a handicap there ten days ago; may benefit from today's drop back in trip but others appeal more all the same.

Opened chasing account at Huntingdon (2m4f, good) last month, despite tending to jump left; moves up from Class 5 today but that recent form has been well advertised by the runner-up since and this switch to a left-handed track may enable a better performance.
