Michael Foster Memorial Handicap (GBBPlus Race)

Progressed into useful handicapper on turf for Charlie Fellowes in 2023, winning three times from the front (1m4f/1m2f) in cheekpieces that summer; well-beaten outsider on all three starts for new yard in 2024, however, and has not been seen since last July; cheekpieces are removed.

Won well at Pontefract (1m2f, good) in April; creditable, keeping-on third of five at Lingfield (11.6f, good to firm) three starts back but he's made notable backward steps in two quite valuable 1m4f handicaps since.

His one turf win in 2024 was at this track (1m2f, good to firm) almost exactly a year ago; bold show when second at Sandown (1m2f) 15 days ago; there's arguably a bit more for him to prove these days over this sort of trip (his C&D win was in 2022) but he's returned to serious calculations.

Not proven beyond York's 10.3f; unraced on firmer than good until tailed off at Newmarket (second favourite) six weeks ago on latest outing, having bled from the nose; he slightly went the wrong way last term but remains basically lightly raced.

Seven races; made the running for all three of his wins, including when he justified favouritism in handicaps over about this trip on good to firm on first two starts this season, finding plenty to end well on top; couldn't get to the front at Epsom three weeks ago and tailed off but with rain-softened ground apparently to blame; needs to renew his progress.
