Tregoning Racing Sir Percy Handicap

Made a promising start in handicaps when a rallying third at Goodwood (1m, good) last month, suffering trouble in running; that's his only race on turf and clearly best effort, having faded into fourth under Jack Dace on Lingfield AW (1m) three weeks ago; blinkered for those last two starts; could have more to offer on turf.

Eight-race maiden despite his many minor honours; 1m2f back on AW for latest outing did not work out and he finished just behind Invincible Duke at Goodwood (1m) the time before despite less trouble in running; frustrating sort who now sports headgear for the first time.

Fourth in Epsom novice (1m, good) on return looked promising but he's rather taken backward steps since in 1m2f handicaps at Chester and Sandown; reverts to 1m but it wasn't just the trip which has beaten him recently.

Useful pedigree (bred to stay 1m2f) and she's been a big improver from a very low starting point; hooded on last two outings, last time always front rank when justifying 6-5 favouritism by 5l in a six-runner race at Nottingham (1m, good) on handicap debut; up 10lb and probably has more to give.

Second at Leicester (7f, soft) on sole 2yo start and another eyecatching effort when never-nearer fourth at Haydock (1m, good) in April; she didn't see it out nearly so well at Windsor (1m, good to firm) last month, even though bred for further, but that form has been boosted and she remains one to note on this handicap debut.
