RCA Summer Jumps Championship Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Three-time chase winner, including this race in 2023; below form when well-held second at Ayr in November and not seen again since but returns on a workable mark and won't mind of the ground turns soft.

Came good over hurdles at seventh attempt, drawing clear for wide-margin success in uncompetitive Stratford novice (2m6f, good) three weeks ago; went up 6lb for that but has scope for further improvement over fences.

Not one to rely upon heavily and was not at best when last of three finishers at Cartmel a fortnight ago but he kept on well for a clearcut win at Catterick (3m1f, good to soft) in February and ran well in defeat over C&D on only previous visit to Hexham; can't be ruled out.

Returned from break with two disappointing runs this spring but is now very well handicapped on form shown when second three consecutive times (2m7f-3m) last spring/summer; has a course hurdle win on his CV; best suited by good ground but fine on good to soft; revival possible.

Runner-up in two of his three chases for James Ewart this year, latterly in ten-runner C&D contest (good to soft) last month; major player if in similar form again for new stable, having recently changed hands for £5,000; cheepieces removed.
