Edinburgh Gin Rhubarb And Ginger Handicap

9yo who has been inconsistent this year but he had a rare turf outing at Beverley (5f, good) ten days ago and returned to form to make all; just 3lb higher this afternoon and he's a player if on another going day.

Two wins last year (5f, good/good to firm) and he also ran well on good to soft; he's below his last winning mark but hasn't shone on his three outings this season and needs to raise his game.

Just 1-28 on turf but two AW wins earlier this year and has run well on grass the last twice (5f, good to firm), most recently at Carlisle where denied a clear run; also effective on slow ground; might not be far away.

Won at Hamilton (5f, good to firm) on May 16 on third stable start and followed up off same mark at Ayr (6f, good to firm) five days later; unproven on slow ground; her new, 9lb higher mark has now kicked in but she's done it comfortably the last twice and could still be ahead of the handicapper.

This drop back to 5f isn't an obvious plus but he's been running consistently well in defeat over 6f on his last three starts and perhaps he'll be sharper for the first-time visor; could be thereabouts.
