Triple bumper winner last summer (good/good to firm); unseated rider in early stages of first two hurdle races but, following a break, made all to win by over 6l at Ffos Las (2m, good to soft) last month; obvious contender under penalty here.
Won the point-to-point bumper on this card for Philip Rowley last year (good ground) but was pulled up when odds-on for stable/hurdle debut in December and again disappointed when well-held fourth at Warwick (2m3f, soft) in February; not written off just yet but returns here with a point to prove.
Runner-up in Irish point last April (good to yielding), form that was very well advertised under rules by the winner last season, but was pulled up when 80-1 for rules debut at Ayr (3m, soft) in January and it's hard to know what to expect from him over today's much shorter trip.
Appeared to show improvement when close third in Irish point in February (yielding ground) but struggled to get competitive in Bangor novice hurdle (2m3f, good to soft) for new stable last month.
Soundly beaten in three Irish points last year but belied 80-1 odds when fourth of 12 in Naas bumper (good to yielding) on rules debut in December; that form has worked out pretty well and it will be very interesting to see what Olly Murphy can do with him over hurdles.
