Birrificio Angelo Poretti Handicap Hurdle (Div I)

Soundly beaten in three Irish maiden hurdles (2m3f-2m5f) for Emmet Mullins last summer and not seen again since but showed significant ability in points/bumpers beforehand and needs close attention in the betting before this stable/handicap debut.

Came good over hurdles at 12th attempt, keeping on well to prevail in tactical race at Warwick (2m3f, good) last month; probably still on a workable mark after recent 3lb rise and today's drop back in trip could be a good move; respected.

Lost out only by a neck when heavily backed at Hereford (2m, good) in March, his second stable start, and gained compensation with a Flat win last month; ought to be right in the thick of things again here.

Quirky and inconsistent 9yo who has has been absent since down-the-field finish over fences in November; can't be supported with much confidence but switches back to hurdling on a good mark and with conditions suitable.

Well beaten over C&D (good) on latest outing five weeks ago and now 0-8 over hurdles; another 6lb lower today but remains difficult to enthuse over; hooded for first time.
