Held up off a steady pace when a close fourth of the five runners at Haydock (3m, good); mostly consistent and cheekpieces now replace his usual hood; likely contender.

Best form was in bumpers but was under 9l away in a 2m3f Hereford handicap last month after 112 days off; did weaken that day and will need to see out this longer distance.

Has yet to fire over hurdles and well held in a Hereford handicap last time despite attracting interest in the market; that was over 2m and he's not bred to stay this far.
