Thorncliffe Building Supplies Novices' Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race)

Gave short-odds favourite a brief scare when clear second at Uttoxeter (2m, good to soft) in January and may have found 2m3f on heavy ground too taxing when well-held second of three here in February; no surprise if he features on this handicap debut.

Won readily by 4l on handicap debut at Musselburgh (1m7f, good to soft) in February and again ran well when third off today's mark at Warwick (2m, good) last month; may still have a bigger run in him; leading contender.

Not seen over hurdles since breakthrough success at Stratford (2m2f, good) last spring but didn't run badly on AW last month and, only 2lb above his winning mark, has a fighting chance here.

Ran as though something was amiss on handicap debut in February (pulled up) and needs to prove his wellbeing here but his final two qualifying runs were encouraging and he remains unexposed.

Unexposed 5yo who showed promise in two good-ground bumpers and in all three qualifying races over hurdles (2m-2m4f); ought to have improvement to come in handicaps; high on the list.
