Brother to the smart staying chaser The Big Breakaway; had wind surgery before winning comfortably at Ffos Las (heavy; 9-4) just before Christmas, and has had another breathing operation since; powerful stable had three entries in this race and he's the chosen one; will encounter different ground conditions from debut but has to be respected.

C&D debut third came behind two next-time-out winners, and he confirmed that promise when scoring without much fuss at Newcastle (again good to soft) in January; one of two plausible candidates trained by Lucinda Russell.

Won an Irish point (good/yielding) by a wide margin and bumped into a smart prospect on rules debut at Newcastle (good to soft; beat remainder fair and square) in February; like stablemate Stride On, he's much respected.

Made winning start at Kelso (good) in September and performed even better when second under a penalty over the same C&D (good to soft) in November; this is a sterner assignment but he's open to further improvement and his stable had another bumper winner at Newcastle last weekend.

Built on encouraging debut when scoring gamely at Huntingdon (good) four weeks ago, the first three pulling well clear; fair chance on the figures and should be in the thick of things under similar conditions.
