Japan Racing Association Handicap

Shaped well in maidens and very much hit the ground running in handicaps at the start of last summer, winning over C&D (good) before an excellent second of 22 in the Britannia at Royal Ascot (1m, good to firm); not seen since but, as usual, that proved really strong form and he could easily still be well treated off 6lb higher.

Improved on heavy ground last autumn, including a 1m win at Nottingham; has the potential for further progress in 2025 but he's rather pitched in at the deep end on reappearance.

Successful over 1m2f but quite a free-goer and looked well suited by the drop back to 1m and being allowed to stride on when making all in 12-runner Doncaster handicap (soft) on final 3yo start; his new triple-figure rating demands a smart handicap performance but this lightly raced 4yo is probably capable of one.

Won this off 1lb higher on good to soft in 2023; drew a blank in 14 starts last year but that doesn't tell the whole story as there were some good efforts in strong handicaps, including third of 18 in Challenge Cup at Ascot in October; first outing for six months.

Improved form after gelding op last summer, pipped at Glorious Goodwood (1m2f, good to firm) before drawing 4l clear at Ascot (1m2f, soft) in September; keen-going tendencies resurfaced and failed to stay 1m4f in Old Rowley Cup here final start; reappears over significantly shorter but he certainly isn't short of speed.
